Sun brings petascale High Performance Computing (HPC) to the enterprise
High Performance Computing (HPC) is growing outside academic and research settings into the enterprise. Examples include engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and financial analysis.
Bjorn Andersson, director of HPC and integrated systems at Sun, discusses how Sun is expanding HPC into the enterprise datacenter. The Sun Constellation System, the world's first open petascale architecture was announced at the International Supercomputing (ISC) show.
