Computer Professionals Program - Master of Science in Computer Science
Business Technology Alert reports that chief information officers anticipate steady growth in the hiring of IT professionals. Sixteen percent of the executives polled said they plan to hire full-time IT staff in the fourth quarter of 2005 while 4 percent expect personnel reductions. The net 12 percent increase in hiring is the largest increase since the third quarter of 2002. Results are up one point from the previous quarter and six points from the same quarter last year.
This strength of the U.S. job market has resulted in unprecedented hiring of our students for practical training jobs. Over 1/3 of the Computer Professionals Program students seeking jobs at the beginning of September found practical training positions by the end of the month. Each job paid over $40,000 per year. An additional five students found positions in September even before they completed their academic work. "This is a great time to be an IT professional in the U.S.," reports Director of Recruiting Don Chell.
