Intel StrataFlash® Cellular Memory (M18) is the world’s leading family of NOR flash memory products for the cellular market segment. The sixth generation of Multi-Level Cell (MLC) technology on 65nm lithography delivers more value and improved performance to cellular developers and enables highly reliable, yet cost-effective, cellular solutions. Designed to be drop-in compatible to the 90nm M18 devices, the 65nm offering accelerates OEM time-to-market by saving valuable development time.

Offering faster read and write speeds, increased density and better power consumption, the M18 delivers the unique combination of memory features that cellular designers need for today’s cellular applications—highperformance, high-density, and low-power operation. The M18 gives wireless products the capacity to do more while consuming less power.

Performance Benefits

Write speed—As more cellular phones add digital cameras and video, the M18 meets the requirements by delivering up to 1.0 MB/sec write speeds to support up to 4MP cameras, MP3 audio, and MPEG4 video. The faster write speed provides improved programming performance that results in a 3X–6X factory throughput improvement along with lower manufacturing costs.
