from EnterpriseDB Corp.

Bringing the Open Source Advantage to Enterprise Databases
EnterpriseDB Advanced Server is an enterprise-class relational database management system based on PostgreSQL, the world’s most advanced open source database. While other database vendors lock customers into their products with non-standard syntax, EnterpriseDB Advanced Server includes compatibility features for both ANSI-standards and proprietary databases, such as Oracle. EnterpriseDB Advanced Server is competitively priced for open source environments, lowering your total cost of ownership and allowing your IT budget to stretch further.

Enterprise Database
EnterpriseDB Advanced Server is a true enterprise-class database with the features and reliability professionals expect. It includes full support for stored procedures and triggers, replication, row-level locking, tablespaces, and many other features not found in other open source database solutions.

Based on PostgreSQL
EnterpriseDB Advanced Server is based on the world’s most advanced open source database: PostgreSQL. Built on more than 20 years of continuous development, PostgreSQL supports both the SQL92 and SQL99 standards, and pioneered many features before they became available in the leading commercial database systems.

Oracle Compatibility
In addition to retaining full support for all PostgreSQL features, EnterpriseDB Advanced Server also includes compatibility with Oracle. This compatibility allows many existing applications written for the Oracle database to run unchanged. If you are building new applications, there is no need to learn new versions of SQL syntax, data types, triggers, and stored procedures; your existing Oracle skills transfer directly.

Competitive Pricing for Open Source Environments
EnterpriseDB Advanced Server pricing is simple and straightforward. It is free for use on up to 1 CPU core with up to 1MB memory and 4GB data, and is priced inexpensively per CPU socket beyond that level. Pricing is subscription-based, and includes world class technical support.
